Obituary for Arline G. Raasch

Arline G. Raasch, age 84 of Shawano, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, March 30, 2021 at Evergreen Care Center where she had been a resident for the past two months.

Arline was born October 22, 1936 in Shawano, a daughter of William and Lois (Allender) Raasch. She attended St. James Lutheran School and graduated from Shawano High School with the class of 1955. Arline was an excellent waitress for over 40 years at Marie’s, Al and Rosie’s which is now named Farm Inn on Main. She maintained school friends through the years, and many of the women went to lunch regularly until recent years. Arline bowled on several teams, and has a nice display of trophies.

Arline is survived by two brothers, William (Carla Rae) Raasch of Little Suamico, and their children, Nola (Andy) Holmes, Mark (Katie) Raasch, and Jodi Raasch; and Ron Raasch of Shawano, and his children, Mike (Stef) Raasch, Tim (Cindy) Raasch, and Tyler Raasch; five great-nieces and three great-nephews; her cousins, Patsy and Larry; and her special friends, Sandra and Gary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Pat Raasch; her niece, Lori Raasch; and her beloved dog, Buffy.

A funeral service for Arline will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Pastor Mark Drengler will officiate. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the hour of service.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the family requests masks be worn while in attendance and social distancing be followed.
