Obituary for Charles R. Poole

Charles R. Poole, age 67 of Neopit, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Appleton following a lengthy illness.

Charles was born in Anderson, South Carolina on May 8, 1954, a son of the late Charles and Irene (Arrowood) Poole. He was a US Army veteran, serving his country for seven years. Charles and his wife, Leona, painted signs, and raced cars. The couple lived in Neopit for over 30 years. Charles liked to sing, watch NASCAR on Sundays, and building model cars and airplanes. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Leona (Zhuckkahosee) Poole, of Neopit; his children, Kari Love Poole and Justin R. Poole, both of Anderson, SC; his sisters, Jonnie Sue Bearden and Barbara Ann Poole, both of Anderson, SC; brothers-in-law, Reggie (Carol) Zhuckkahosee of Albuquerque, NM, Tom (Karen) Zhuckkahosee of Milwaukee, Al (Alberta) Zhuckkahosee of Keshena, and Lee (Karen) Zhuckkahosee of Shawano; sisters-in-law, Marcie Zhuckkahosee of Keshena, Lisa Zhuckkahosee of Neopit, and Clarice “Reecie” (Doyle) Wilber of Shawano; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael D. Poole and his sister, Tracie Lynne Poole.

A visitation for Charles will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Burial with full military honors will be at 1:00 pm in the Menominee Cemetery – Middle Village.
