Obituary for Delores M. Mattis
Delores M. Mattis, age 86 of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, December 11, 2022, at her home in Shawano.
Delores was born December 7, 1936, in Janesville, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Matthew and Alice (Ricker) Monds. She attended school in Loves Park, Illinois, graduating from Loves Park High School. She was employed as a commercial line agent in the insurance industry.
On February 2, 2003, Delores was united in marriage to Robert Mattis in Rockton, Illinois. The couple moved to Shawano in 2005. Delores is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Stony Hill. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and sewing.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Mattis of Shawano; her step-sons, Richard (Pamela) Mattis of Loves Park, IL and Theodore Mattis of Machesny Park, IL; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A public funeral service for Delores will be held in the spring of 2023.
