Eugene Louis Bebo Jr., age 64, a member of the Hochunk Nation and descendent of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and a resident of Shawano, Wisconsin, began his journey to reunite with his loved ones and ancestors before him on Monday, February 14, 2022. He is loved from the infinite roots to the infinite stars.
Eugene was born on June 11, 1957, in Neopit, Wisconsin, within the Menominee reservation. He is a son of the late Eugene Louis Bebo Sr. and Yvonne Marie Whiteeagle-Bebo. He graduated from Seymour Community High School. Following high school, he attended college in Los Angeles, CA.
Eugene has been a faithful and devoted Christian his entire life; daily studying and sharing spiritual guidance with family and friends. Eugene enjoyed his Hochunk and Menominee culture, fishing, and spending time with his siblings, nieces and nephews, and his friends. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed working at Lambeau Field in earlier years.
Survivors include his children, Naomi Yvonne Bebo of Highland, California and Marin Sage Louie of Shawano, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Persephone “Ark” Singing Water Bebo-Maybee and Penelope “Oji’” Oji’sdonda’sha Bebo-Maybee; five sisters, Brenda Peotter, Susan Harris-Meeuwsen, Terri Franta, Diane White Eagle, and Joy Miller; one brother, Tim Tebo.
and many nieces and nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Whiteeagle.
A visitation for Eugene L. Bebo will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, 2022, beginning at 1:00 pm with a final prayer service at 2:30 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. David Grignon will officiate. A traditional ceremony will follow in the spring.
