Obituary for Frank J. "Scooz" Caldwell

Frank J. “Scooz” Caldwell, Jr., age 65 of Keshena, went on to the Spirit World on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Keshena, following a long, hard battle against cancer.

Frank was born on July 26, 1955 in Keshena, the eldest son of Frank Caldwell, Sr. and Beatrice (Lyons) Waupoose. He enjoyed gambling, taking rides in the woods, and watching fires for his family and friends. He loved seeing his grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Scooz is survived by his sons, Thunder J. Caldwell and Jerome Caldwell, both of Shawano; his grandchildren, Patrick, Yellowrose, Aja, and special granddaughter, Evonie; his siblings, Clifford “Poonah” (Rachel) Kaquatosh, Alan “Dale” (Glenda) Kaquatosh, Yvonne Kaquatosh, Brian “Sly” Kaquatosh, Gordon Kaquatosh, and Paula Waupoose; his special niece, Jennifer Frechette; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Beatrice; his step-fathers, Melvin Waupoose and Clifford Kaquatosh, Sr.; his siblings, Joseph Kaquatosh, Dana Waupoose, Sherry Waupoose, Stephen “Spike” Waupoose, Anthony Waupoose, and Wanda Waupoose; his special brother, Reynold “Wrench” Frechette; and his nieces Carmella Lita and Lynn Maria.

Funeral services for Frank will take place on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. Deacon Tom Hartman will officiate. Interment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Neopit. Visitation will begin at the Dave Barrett Hall at St. Michael’s after 5:00 PM on Monday, July 12, 2021 and continue until the hour of service on Wednesday.
