Obituary for Gloria J. Hagen

Gloria J. Hagen, age 95 of Shawano, passed away April 15, 2023, at The Cottages in Shawano. Gloria was born in Chicago, Il on July 24, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Ida Mae (Brown) Knutson. She attended school in Racine, graduating from Washington Park High School with the Class of 1945. She worked as a secretary at Johnson Wax Company in Racine following high school. On June 17, 1950, Gloria was united in marriage to Walter Hagen in Racine. She worked many years for Oconomowoc School District in the library and as an administrative secretary before her retirement.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Selinda Barkhaus) Hagen of Port Angeles, WA, Linda (Tony) Heck of Shawano, Brian Hagen of West Allis, and John (Leslie) Hagen of Port Townsend, WA; her grandchildren, Josh Hagen, Brian Hagen, Jr., and Cody Hagen; great-grandson, Sam Hagen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, on December 15, 2010; her brother, Raymond Knutson; her sister, Alberta Schwartz; sisters-in-law, Sandra Hagen, Joan Hagen, Rosemary OSF Hagen, and Laura Hopper; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Raymond DeHahn; and her daughter-in-law, Lea Hagen.

As per Gloria’s request, no services will be held. Interment will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI beside her husband, Walter.
