Grant J. “Bucket” Gomeyosh, age 23 of Neopit, unexpectedly started his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Grant was born January 5, 1998 in Shawano, a son of Michael Gomeyosh and Misty Curry. He attended Menominee Tribal Schools, graduating from Menominee Indian High School in 2016. While in high school he was accomplished at running in both cross country and track. After graduation he was employed as a roofer and in the construction industry. Bucket was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, and being in the woods. He loved spending time with family and friends. Attending Packer and Brewer games were also a favorite past time.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Misty; his daughter, Elizabeth “Lizzy Fish”; his girlfriend, Julietta Mustache of Sioux City, Iowa; four brothers, Cody, Kyle, Christopher, and Ivan; four sisters, Caprice, Michaela, Kayilah, and Siril; very special sisters, McKaylin and Shaelyn; grandparents, Lori and Randy Reiter, and Linda Peters, all of Keshena; aunts, Heidi Reiter, Maurissa Bigjohn, Talenna Peters, Woesha Peters, and Karly Slaughter; his very special uncle, Jeffrey Fish; and several cousins, relatives, and friends. Bucket was preceded in death by his brother, Cory Grignon; his grandparents, Joseph “Joe Beaver” and Rose Gomeyosh; his uncle, Gary Gomeyosh; and a special cousin, John Fish.
A Funeral Mass for Grant will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Father Hanz Christian will be the Celebrant. Visitation will begin after 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Talenna Peters residence, N1540 Mallard Bay Trail, Keshena, and continue until 9:30 AM Saturday when the procession leaves for church.
