Kenny Joe Peters
February 6, 1990 - December 10, 2022
It is with a heavy heart, we share the passing of Kenny Joe Peters of Keshena, Wisconsin.
Kenny was born in Shawano, Wisconsin to his mother, Gaynelle Peters, and his late father, David J Hawpetoss.
He graduated from Menominee Indian high school in 2008. He enjoyed working at Menominee Hotel and most recently at Walmart in Shawano, where he flourished with the Walmart team. If you were befriended by Kenny... you knew him at his best. Kenny Joe love to work, but he was the best at "chillin". Those who knew him knew he was a jokester with an infectious laugh. His unique, real, sense of humor was one of a kind. Everyone he knew has been blessed with joyful memories to be treasure. Be sad for a time, but smile as you remember him, for he didn’t want sorrow and sadness. He hurt enough in life let’s be content for his rest.
He is survived by his daughters: Airianna Peters, Mercedes Peters, Dominique Jacobs; all of Keshena, WI. He is further survived by his mother, Gaynelle Peters; the love of his life, Yolanda Bocanegera; sisters, Clarisse (Tyrone) Tucker, Elissa Peters and brother Henry Long-Hawpetoss; nephews : Jayme (his monkey), Owen and Ty Joe; his nieces: Turina, Adrianna, and Serenity; his great nephew Nikiqsasaeh; his great-aunt Donnie Peters; special brother Mitch Bailey and special sister, Sandra Shawano.
Kenny now joins his dad, David J. Hawpetoss; his granny, Henrietta Long; his papa, Kenneth W. Long and his best friend Deanna Peters.
As per Kenny's wishes there will be a service held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 held at the South Branch Community Center with his Uncle Alex Peters leading.
