Obituary for Leroy A. Dominowski

Leroy A. Dominowski, age 88 of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, at Anna John Nursing Home in Oneida.

Leroy was born October 22, 1933, in Cicero, Wisconsin to the late Andrew and Alma (Nelson) Dominowski. Leroy is a decorated Air Force veteran who served as a radio operator and radio intercept operator during the Korean War. Upon returning from service, he worked at FWD in Clintonville and began building an earth-bound home which is where he retired.

Leroy’s hobbies include reading, walking in the pines, watching wildlife, traveling with his beloved partner Mae, building steam engines, tinkering with projects, using his telescope, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include: his nieces, Penny (Singer) (Sonny) Luytgaarden, Carol Singer (James), Susan (Brandt)(Tim) Jacobs, and Mary (Brandt) (Bob) Lucas; great-nieces, Kristine (Tom), Melissa (Chad), Martha (Lee), Stephanie (Andy), Lisa, and Julie; great-nephews, Peter, Joey, Nicholas, and Austin (Holly); great-great-nieces, Lauren and Emilee; great-great-nephews, Creed, Croy, Chad II, Jack, Sebastian, Anthony, Edward, Brixton, Niko, and Kristopher; and his extended family, Lenny (Gail), Carrie (Roger), Shannon (Kersten), Shane (Gina), Casey, Jeannie, and friend Sue. He was preceded in death by: his beloved partner Mae Heling; mother and father Andrew and Alma (Nelson) Dominowski; beloved sisters, Eva Dominowski, Ellen Jagger, and Virgie Brandt; his brother, Kenneth Dominowski; nephew, Larry Singer; niece Bonnie Jagger; and his extended family, Michael, James, and Tim.

In keeping with Leroy’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
