Obituary for Lonnie M. Cibulka

Lonnie M. Cibulka, age 81 of Shawano, passed away Saturday October 22, 2022, at The Pines Nursing Center in Embarrass.

Lonnie was born June 5, 1941, in Marshfield, daughter of the late Chester and Margerate (Crawshaw) Heidrich. She attended public school in West Allis. On March 15, 1958, Lonnie was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Cibulka, Sr. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2020.The couple made their home on the north side of Milwaukee, where they raised their family. In 2001, Jerry and Lonnie relocated to Shawano.

Lonnie is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Shawano. Lonnie had a variety of different occupations throughout her life, one of her favorites was being a caretaker for a family friend, Lisa. Her favorite job though was being a wife, mom, and grandmother to her family. After her boys were adults, she loved to spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She also loved to can vegetables, go to craft fairs, and garden.

Survivors include her sons, Timothy Cibulka of Bonduel, Danny (LouAnn) Cibulka of Gillett, Jerry (special friend, Lara Lopez) Cibulka of Pewaukee, and Donald (Sandy) Cibulka of West Bend; her grandchildren, Brianna (John) Verhagen, Bryce Cibulka, Jeremy Cibulka, MaKayla Cibulka, and Trenton Cibulka; her great-grandchild John Verhagen V; her sister-in-law Judy Cibulka of Rhinelander; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and her sister, Carol Wilkins.

Funeral services for Lonnie will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church of Shawano at 11:00 am on Friday October 28, 2022. Fr. Patrick Twomey will officiate. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Milwaukee. Visitation will begin at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
