Obituary for Marcos R. Oviedo
Marcos R. Oviedo, age 37 of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Shawano.
Marcos was born June 12, 1984, in Coacoyula, Mexico a son of Raciel Oviedo and the late Maria (Cuenca) Oviedo. He attended Shawano schools graduating from Shawano High School in 2003. Following school, he was employed at the family restaurant, Flamingos. Marcos then went to work at Creative Converting in Clintonville. Clintonville, and was a DJ. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, but his true love was his children. Marcos was devoted to his family and to his work.
Survivors include his children, Cruz Oviedo, and Antonio Oviedo, both of Shawano; his father, Raciel Oviedo of Green Bay; his sisters, Veronica (Pedro) Zarate of Green Bay, Didia (Anthony) Thompson of Wiesbaden, Germany, and Maria Victoria Oviedo of Green Bay; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria, on January 13, 2018.
A memorial service for Marcus will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Deacon James Lonick will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday and continue until the time of service.
