Obituary for Nancy M. Raeder (Yeager)

Nancy M. Raeder, age 75 of the Town of Wescott, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born in Shawano on May 13, 1947, a daughter of the late Melvin and Marjorie (Norton) Yeager. She attended school in Shawano, graduating with the Class of 1965. Following high school, Nancy was employed at the canning factory in Bonduel. On December 21, 1968, she was united in marriage to Donald Raeder at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. The couple made their home in the Town of Wescott.

Nancy is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She loved bowling, attended T.O.P.S. meetings, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Nancy also enjoyed camping with her family. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with them.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Don Raeder of the Town of Wescott; five children, Kelly (Pete) Griesmann of the Town of Washington, Lisa (Jim) Watermolen of Freedom, Janie (Tim) Welch of the Town of Washington, Julie (Roy) Farley of DePere, and Dave (Amber Yurek) Raeder of Pulaski; her grandchildren, Erika Welch, Tiffany (Curt) Allord, Brittany (Jeremy Blajeski) Welch, Timmy (Lisa Wopshel) Welch, Marissa Welch, Travis (Kendall Bricco) Welch, Austin Raeder, Alex (Jadyn Radomski) Raeder, Mikey (Danielle Smolen) Raeder, Brock Welch, Maycie Raeder, Isiah Mills, Ilias Mills, Tony Carter, and Brandon (Cayla) Farley; her great-grandchildren, Leila, Alayia, Akyra, Senika, Brooklynn, Walter, Mhylei, Tinisa, Autumn, Carson, Kyson, Owen, Elli, Colton, and Lahela; her brother Rick (JoAnne) Yeager of Wausaukee; her sister, Cindy Yeager of Shawano; her fur baby, Tommy the Cat; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Welch

A funeral service for Nancy will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Pastor Andrew Zobel will officiate. Interment will take place in Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott. Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano and continue on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
