Obituary for Patricia M. "Pat" Raasch (Pigeon)
Patricia M. “Pat” Raasch, age 72 of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 2021 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.
Pat was born March 17, 1948 in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Walter and Marian (Kocha) Pigeon. She attended school in Green Bay, graduating from Preble High School in 1966. Following high school, Pat worked on the family farm. On June 17, 1967, she was united in marriage to Ronald Raasch at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. The couple then moved to Shawano. Pat stayed home to raise their children until they were school age. She then went to work at Schultz Bros., Spurgeons, and Bank Mutual in Shawano, retiring in 2012. Pat is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. She loved animals, enjoyed painting, drawing, and reading. Pat was an excellent cook and baker, and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald Raasch, of Shawano; three sons, Michael (Stefanie) Raasch of West Bend, Tim (Cindy) Raasch of Sheboygan, and Tyler Raasch of Shawano; two grandchildren, Hunter and Caulden Raasch; brother-in-law, Donald Hermans of Green Bay; sister-in-law, Geraldine Pigeon of Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Raasch in 2004; her brother, Jerry Pigeon; and her sister, Shirley Hermans.
A funeral service for Patricia Raasch will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. Pastor Phil Bogen will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 AM and continue until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family prefers memorials in Pat’s name.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the family requests masks be worn while in attendance and social distancing be followed.
