Obituary for Vincent N. DeBauch

Vincent N. DeBauch, age 89 of Shawano, formerly of Gillett, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022, at The Cottages Memory Care Center in Shawano.

Vincent was born in Lena on September 1, 1932, the fourth of ten children, to the late Arthur and Marie (Berg) DeBauch. He served in the Unites States Army for two years, stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado, followed by six years active reserves. On October 16, 1954, he was united in marriage to the former Joyce J. Opperman at Ft. Carson. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Wisconsin and lived in Gillett. Vincent was employed at Scott Paper in Oconto Falls for over 35 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and camping. Vincent and Joyce enjoyed traveling together and ventured to all fifty states. They also enjoyed fishing in Canada for many years. Vincent was a long time member of the Gillett American Legion Post.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Joyce, of Shawano; three daughters, Judy DeBauch of Green Bay, Carolyn (Kirk) Fishbaugh of Hobart, and Brenda (Dennis) Wiskow of the Township of Underhill; two sons, Gary DeBauch and Steve (Joanne) DeBauch, both of Gillett; nine grandchildren, Tanya, Jason, Ben, Amanda, Brooke, Alexis, Aaron, Shiloh, and Kody; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn Ingresania of New York, Priscilla Burbey of Green Bay, Joan (Richard) Murdzek of Suamico, Regina Coppens of Arizona, Delbert (Bonnie) DeBauch of Gillett, and Elizabeth Ondik of Gillett; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, David, in 1981; his brothers, Floyd DeBauch and Bernard DeBauch; and his sister, Genevieve Reinke.

A graveside service for Vincent with full military honors will be held at Wanderers Rest Cemetery in Gillett in the spring.
